I saw your website. Our Growney family came from County Meath Ireland around 1850 to New York and then went by wagon to Missouri. All of the Growney's in midwest are related. My G-G-grandparents. Not many Growney's in USA. Thanks, Susie
Just trying to find our common link. I'm Mike, with ascending Growney's John T. -> John Joseph -> Alphonsus Christopher (born in Missouri) -> John (from Co. Meath) -> Patrick (OldCastle, Co. Meath) d.1879. There, I stop. Sound familiar to anybody?
ED: Mike, I can't see a sign of a John or Patrick around those dates with evidence of them moving to the USA
Hello, my name is Helen Growney and i have just visited your website www.growney and i wanted to tell you how amazed i was to find such a wealth of infomation about my family. I have been researching the family tree for the past 6 months and have got some info that you do not have and i wondered if you would like it for your site. Your father Maurice was my great grandad Hugh Abrahams brothers child and i have info on Hughs family leading up to my son Shay who is 2 and some info about Hughs Mum and Dad from Meath in Ireland. I hope i am not intruding on you and you forgive this unexpected contact. Again many thanks for a great web site. Helen.
